Obituary
Michael Eugene Highfill, 43, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2005, at his home in Appomattox.
Born January 3, 1962, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of Maryann Carroll and husband, William of Appomattox and Norman Highfill of La Porte, Texas.
In addition to his parents he is survived by a sister, Tammy M. Ferguson and husband, Larry of Vera; two nephews, Larry Travis Ferguson and Eric Justin Ferguson; maternal grandparents, Jim Hawkins and the late Octavia Grace Hawkins of Concord; paternal grandparents, Helen Highfill and the late Eldon Highfill of Marion, Ohio and a special friend, Carol Lauter of Madison Heights.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm, Wednesday, October 5, at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Mark Grooms with interment in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Vera.
The family will receive friends at the home of William and Maryann Carroll.
