Michael Lindesy Ayers, 70, of Lynchburg, died Friday, December 29, 2023.

Born in Lynchburg, September 25, 1953, he was a son of the late Lockie McFadden Ayers and William Henry Ayers, Sr.  Michael served his country in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his son, Michael Craig Ayers; brother, Robert "Bobby" Ayers and wife, Tammy; numerous nieces and nephews; and the love of his life, Dale Moore and her family.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Slinky Ayers and Billy Ayers; and his sister, Gerry A. Guill.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Worley officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
