Melinda Moody McGhee, 58, of Walton Drive, passed away, Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the loving wife of Richard Terry McGhee, III.

Born in Jacksonville, FL, she was a daughter of Alma Roux and the late Jack Bradford Moody. Melinda was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, and was a Speech Pathologist in the public school systems.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Abigail Jacqueline McGhee and Daniel Diego McGhee both of Appomattox; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Moody; a niece, Rachael Moody; and nephew, TAM Moody all of Highlands Ranch, CO; and her mother-in-law, Naomi I. McGhee.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Bradford Moody.

A memorial service will be held 11a.m., Friday, October 20, 2017 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Rusty Small officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Robinson Funeral Home.
