Medora Jean Tanner

Medora Jean Coon Tanner, 68, of Appomattox, VA, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026, at Appomattox Health and Rehabilitation. She was the loving wife of Joel Regene Tanner.

Born in Oakland, CA, she was the daughter of the late Harriet Marie Robbins and Robert Franklin Coon.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two stepchildren, Joshua Harold Tanner of Gladstone, VA, and Jonathan Michael, of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Patricia Honeycutt and Harriet Wong; and two brothers, Bob Coon, Michael Coon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by numerous siblings, nieces, and nephews.
