Maybelle Sanders Womack, 83, of Pamplin passed away on March 16, 2023, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Thomas Ryland Womack, sharing their lives together for over 60 years.

Born in Campbell County, Va., on April 30, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Robert Garrett Sanders and Ruth Marie Shelton Sanders. She was a member of Beale Memorial Presbyterian Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher and pianist. In her earlier years she was a clerk for Gray's Drugstore in Farmville, Va.  Her greatest passions in life included spending time with her family and friends, reading, and keeping her house clean and spotless.

She is survived by two children, Jerry Womack and wife, Lisa of Lynchburg, and Tammy Coleman of Janesville, WI; three grandchildren, Jessica Womack Painter and husband, Matt, Dustin Womack, and Christy Coleman; three great-grandchildren, Jordan Womack, Dylan Temple, and Carson Painter; a devoted brother, Robert Bruce Sanders, and wife, Cindy of Concord; best friend and sister-in-law, Nedra Womack; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Frances "Toddy" Murray, and son-in-law, Dennis Coleman.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Beale Memorial Presbyterian Church in Pamplin with Rev. Kim Jeffreys officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 pm, Tuesday, March 21 at Robinson Funeral Home, and other times at her residence.

The family would like to express its heart-felt appreciation to special friends and family members: Angie Mobley, Jimmie Womack, and Ann Simmons, for all they have done for Maybelle. They would also like to thank her caregivers, Beth, Mary Ann, Ann Marie and Robin for making Maybelle's last couple of months so special.
