Maxine Deaner Garrison, 99, of Greenview Drive, died Saturday morning May 13, 2006, at Appomattox Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Walter Jones Garrison.
Born in Charles City, Virginia, October 3, 1906, she was a daughter of the late Inez Rixey and William Andrew Deaner. Maxine was a member of Marsh Memorial United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy G. Elder; three grandchildren, Cindy Elder White, Lindy Elder Harris and her husband Jeff, all of Lynchburg, Donald Edward Elder and his wife Lynn of Roanoke; four great-grandchildren Megan White, Ryan White, Brad Harris, Amanda Harris Compton and her husband Anthony; one great-great-grandchild Addison Compton.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday 1:00PM, May 16, 2006, at Madisonville Presbyterian Church, by the Rev. Barry Burkholder.
The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter Dorothy G. Elder.
