Maude Chernault Craddock, 95, of Bedford, died Friday, June 17, 2022.  She was the wife of the late George Walter Craddock, Sr.

Born in Appomattox County, March 20, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Janie Coleman and Jesse J. Chernault.  Maude was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Charles E. Craddock of Bedford and Joyce C. Lyons and husband, Darryl of Plano, TX; two sisters, Sally Lou Mottley and Wanda Hamlett both of Farmville; one grandson, Michael Lyons of Plano, TX.

She was preceded in death by her son, George W. Craddock, Jr; and 10 brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2022, at New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Hollandsworth officiating.
