Mary Frances Dunn Thompson, 81, of Stevens Street, Appomattox, died Saturday, June 1, 2019. She was the wife of the late John Claude Thompson, Sr.

Born on January 30, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Dolly Mae Dunn Thompson.

She is survived by seven children, John C. Thompson, Jr. of Eden, NC, Dolly Dixon Bryant and husband, Sam of Concord, NC, Rachel Victoria McFadden, Margaret Virginia Overton and husband, Robert, Robbie Washington Thompson, Sr., and wife, Kay, Marshall Ray Thompson and wife, Dorothy all of Appomattox, Helen Mae Campbell and husband, Spoony of Amherst; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and her caregiver, Yvonne Broggin.

She was preceded in death by a devoted friend, Stephen Goode.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Mitch Luckie.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at her residence.
