Mary Allen Lucas

Mary Allen Lucas, 91, of Appomattox passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Babcock Manor. She was the beloved wife of Pastor Earnie William Lucas, Jr.

Born on May 11, 1935, in Nuese, NC, she was the daughter of the late Atlas Allen and Ethel Davis Allen. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Deborah Joyce L. Cooper and husband, Donnie of Spout Spring and Teresa Lynn L. Covington and husband, Mark of Appomattox; three grandsons, Travis Allen Ayers, Christopher Alexander Covington and wife, Amy, and Joshua Daren Covington and wife, Tiffany; and four great-grandchildren, Gunnar Ayers, Sofie Kemmerer, Samuel Covington, and Aurora Covington.

A funeral service will be held 11am, Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Ron Rumburg officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Babcock Manor for the great care they gave Mary.
