Mary Musick Kennon, 61, of Walking Trail Dr., Concord, died Saturday, December 17, 2011 at her residence. She was the wife of James W. Kennon.

Born in Russell County, VA, on July 29, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Bascomb S. and Elsie Stevens Musick. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest, Earl, Donnie, and Randolph Musick. Mary was the office manager for Kennon Auto Sales.

In addition to her husband she is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, James C. and Susan Kennon of Concord, Lonnie D. and Heather Kennon and Frank W. and Tracy Kennon all of Spout Spring; five grandchildren, Frank Kennon Jr., Alexis Kennon, Amy Kennon, Hailey Kennon, and Lonnie Kennon Jr.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and John Marshall of Rosedale and Mildred and Curtis Stillwell of Tazewell; seven brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene Musick of Honaker, Kermit and Nellie Musick of Marion, Claude and Barbara Musick of Lebanon, Joe and Carol Musick of Charles City, Tim and Della Musick of Saluda, Gary and Vada Musick of Honaker, and Ronnie Musick of Honaker; four sisters-in-law, Jane Musick of Deltaville, Helen Musick of Honaker, Loretta Musick of Hartfield, and Alice Musick of Tazewell.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 19, 2011 at Robinson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Sunday, Dec. 18, from 6-8:00 p.m.
