Mary Zapalinski Cavallaro, 88, of Pine Street, died Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Woodland. She was the wife of the late Frank Michael Cavallaro.

Born in Oswego, NY, January 20, 1928 she was a daughter of the late Pauline Papdinik and Jacob Zapalinski. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and was involved with the local food bank through her church.

She is survived by a son, Joseph John Cavallaro and wife, Dina of Forest Hill, MD; a daughter, Gay Cavallaro Womack and husband, Jimmy of Evergreen; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 11, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Father James Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at her residence.

A special thank you to her church friend Linda Gardner, for her care and visits with Mary, and many other friends who watched over her after the loss of her husband Frank.
