Obituary
Mary Archer Caldwell Collins, of Circle Court, Lynchburg, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Calvin Lee Collins.
Born in Appomattox County, VA on March 8, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Margaret Cardwell and Cleveland McCoy Caldwell. She was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Caldwell and two sisters, Doris Paulette and Christine Dickerson.
Mary Archer is survived by a son, Larry Wayne Collins of Forest; a sister-in-law, Mary Sue Staton of Dundas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2014, in Concord Cemetery by the Rev. Russell Cheatham.
The family will receive friends at the home of her nephew and his wife, Fred and Kathy Dickerson, 911 Depot Lane, Spout Spring.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to The Arc of Central Virginia, 1508 Bedford Ave., Lynchburg, VA 24504.
