Mary Eagle Bohannon, 90, of Appomattox, died Thursday, May 08, 2008 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Aulus Abbitt Bohannon.
Born in Appomattox, June 20, 1917; she was the daughter of the late David William Eagle and Lula Godsey Eagle. Mary was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons; James Howard Bohannon, Sr. and his wife Bonnie, and Thomas David Bohannon both of Appomattox; three brothers, Julian B. Eagle and Lyle Eagle both of Appomattox, and Wiley Eagle of Forest; one sister, Alice Sale of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, David Bohannon and his wife Vickie, James Bohannon, Jr. and his wife Wanda, Mike Bohannon and his wife Jennifer, and Tina Marie Bohannon; six great-grandchildren, Jacob, Gabriel, Tyler, Christopher, Rindy, and Eric Bohannon.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Louise Phelps, Elizabeth Jones, Edna Bittis; four brothers, Bobby Eagle, David Eagle, Andrew Eagle, Alfred Eagle; and a daughter-in-law Eva Bohannon.
Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bruce Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home tonight Friday, May 9, 2008 from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at the residence of James and Bonnie Bohannon, 319 Horseshoe Rd. Appomattox.
