Mary Yvonne Beale, 89, of Appomattox, died Thursday, September 26, 2024, in Babcock Manor.

Born in Appomattox County, on May 8, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Bennie Thomas and Nellie Mae Hamilton Beale. Yvonne was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She retired from Amelia Dress Company after 43 ½ years of service and then worked with the Salvation Army and Goodwill.

Yvonne would like to express her gratitude to her cousin, Alice Barnes of Appomattox for providing her with a wonderful home in which to live for many years; to Jennifer Stephens of Lynchburg for her friendship and guidance over the years; and to her cousin, Everett and Joan Beale of Lynchburg for their love and support.
