Mary Annie Baldwin Hodges, 79, of Willow Creek Run, Pamplin, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at her residence. She was the loving wife for 62 years of Henry Lawrence Hodges.

Born in Pamplin, May 6, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Annie Goin and Cavil Caleb Baldwin. Ann was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ann loved children; this was shown in her exceptional care and guidance as a caregiver at Methodist Daycare where she worked for many years.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Lester and Stephanie Hodges and a daughter, Donna Hodges Joy and husband Barry both of Appomattox; four brothers, Bobby Baldwin and wife, Margaret, Lacy Baldwin and wife, Joyce, Donald Baldwin and wife, Florence and Sambo Baldwin and wife, Barbara all of Pamplin; one sister, Betty Hodges of Evergreen; four grandchildren, Brittany Barney and husband Brandon, Lauren Brown and husband, Justin, Monica Hodges and fiancé Dalton Bennett and Derick Hodges, three great-grandchildren, Taegan and Silas Barney and Harper Brown; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Aubrey Baldwin and Albert Baldwin; three sisters, Margaret Ferguson, Doris Anderson and Ella Grey Price and a brother-in-law, Bill Hodges.

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks for the wonderful care of Ann given by Centra Hospice and Diann, Patty, Frankie, Karlene and Annette.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Evergreen Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Slaughter officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
