Martha "Mitzi" Louise Chandler, 57, of Killdeer Road, Pamplin, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born in Lynchburg, Va., on December 24, 1961, she was a daughter of Jane Chandler Eanes and Jim Eanes of Burkeville. Mitzi was Postmaster for Evergreen Post Office and was employed at Thomasville Furniture until their closing. She was a member of Elon Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ernest and Willie Chenault and Bryan and Essie Chandler.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her significant other of 43 years, Danny Lee Jones; a daughter, Chelsea Mann and husband, Robert; two grandchildren, Rosslynn and Blayne Mann all of Pamplin; three sisters, Karen Scruggs and husband, Doug of Pamplin, Rose Allen and husband, Ricky of Cullen, and Carolyn Chandler of Appomattox; two brothers, Ricky Chandler of Pamplin and Neal Chandler of Appomattox; two aunts, Martha McCormick of Bent Creek and Mary Bailey of Phenix; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. John Campbell. Following the service everyone is invited to the Pamplin Fire Department for a time of fellowship.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 8, from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
