Martha "Pearl" Jones Guill, 91, of Oakville Road, Appomattox, died Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Babcock Manor. She was the wife of the late Hal Flood Guill.

Born in Erwin, Tenn., on April 15, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Jones and Lula Edwards Jones. She was preceded in death by a son, W. Danny Williams and a special nephew, Brady Jones, Jr. Pearl was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and retired seamstress for Amelia Dress Company.

Martha is survived by her loving family; daughter, Cindy Guthrie and husband, Winferd of Appomattox; grandchildren, Michelle (T. M.) Phelps, Melissa (Kevin) Lawhorne, and Jennifer (Tony) Mann all of Appomattox; great grandchildren, Danielle Mann, Jacob Creammer, Drew Mann, Miranda Phelps, and Miller Phelps; and siblings, Lois Wilkerson and Hobert "Ned" Jones.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Babcock Manor, special friend and roommate, Jean Nash, and Diann Pickett of Farmville Centra Hospice for their care of Nanny Pearl the last few years.

A private family graveside will be held at Liberty Cemetery.
