Obituary
Martha Harvey Conner, 91, of Oakleigh Avenue, Appomattox, passed away at her home on Tuesday August 26, 2014. She was the widow of J.W. (Sam) Conner.
Martha was born in Appomattox County December 23, 1922 a daughter of the late Manie Clark and Edward Larkin Harvey. She was a long time employee of General Electric. Martha enjoyed sewing, cooking and was a caregiver to neighbors, friends and family.
Martha is survived by a daughter, Fay C. Cunningham and husband, Marshall; a son, Lee Conner and wife, Margaret; granddaughter, Sarah Hampshire and husband, Trey; grandsons, Jason and Blake Conner; great-grandson, Tyler Conner; sisters, Nettie Deadmon; Mary Phelps and husband, Twyman; and Roberta Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by a son, Don Conner, grandson, Ed Cunningham and brothers, Jimmy, Henry and Lewis Harvey.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday August 29, 2014 at Liberty Cemetery officiated by Kemper Beasley, III.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home from 7-8:30 PM Thursday night August 28.
