Mark Davis, 76, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.  Born in Front Royal, he was a son of the late William and Cora Jane Davis. He was preceded in death by his brother, Sterling, and nephew, Price.  A beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many, he will be greatly missed.

Mark graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. After serving in the United States Air Force, he worked as a Conservationist for the USDA, in Winchester, and most recently in Appomattox and surrounding areas. Mark took great pride in helping local farmers install conservation practices on their land. Landowners spoke highly of him well after his retirement.

Mark was a kind man who had a sharp intellect, sense of humor, and many interests including reading, hunting and fishing, walking the woods, checking timber sites, and watching his favorites in football and golf. He was devoted to his family, and also cherished his many pet dogs through the years.

A celebration of life service and reception were held on Saturday, September 16, 2023. The family thanks all who attended to remember Mark and share their condolences.
