MARK STEVENS CATLETT

Mark Stevens Catlett, 60, of Oakville Road, died at his residence on Thursday, February 2, 2012.
Mark was born in Lynchburg on August 21, 1951 a son of the late Corrine Coleman and Marvin Foster Catlett. He was a retired cattle farmer.
Mark was a graduate of Appomattox High School and attended Virginia Commonwealth University and Lynchburg College. He was a member of Appomattox Courthouse Rangers Camp #1733, Sons of Confederate Veterans where he served as Adjutant from 2010-12 and received the 2011 Ranger of the Year Award. He was also a member of John Ancell Masonic Lodge in Gladstone.
During the early 1960's he served as a Senate page for Senator Charles T. Moses, Sr. in the Virginia General Assembly. During his early adulthood he was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast. More recently he enjoyed fresh and salt water fishing, following the New York Yankees and the Lynchburg Hillcats. Mark was active in researching genealogy of his ancestors and his greatest love was his friends and family to whom he was very devoted.
He is survived by his sister, Jo Anne Martin and her husband, Gordon, two nieces, Stephanie M. Coleman and her husband, Phil, and Millicent Martin; nephew, Timothy Martin; two great-nephews, Drew Coleman and Tatum Martin and his beloved canine companion, Scooter.
A graveside funeral service will be held 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 4, 2012, at the Coleman Family Cemetery, officiated by Rev. David Camden and Rev. Randel Rumburg.
The family is at the home of Jo Anne and Gordon Martin, Coleman's Mill Road, Appomattox.
