Marion Williams Litchford, 94, of Concord passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Franklin Boyce Litchford, Sr.

Born on October 10, 1929, in Lynchburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Helen Wilburn and Edwin Garland Williams. Marion was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. Marion and Franklin owned and operated Litchford's Garage side by side for 50 years. For 17 years she volunteered with the Concord Fire Department answering telephone calls and dispatching help to those in need, 24/7.

She is survived by three children, Charlotte L. Bryant and husband, Lewis A. Bryant, Jr. of Lynchburg, Franklin B. "Bebo" Litchford, Jr., and William E. "Bill" Litchford both of Concord; four grandchildren, Lewis Bryant III, and wife, Deborah, Megan Litchford, Brittany Guill and husband, Austin, and Boyce Litchford and Jessi Howell; two great-grandchildren, Jenna B. Perry and husband, Ben, and Aiden Maddox; two brothers, James Williams and wife, Nancy of Brookneal, and H.T. Williams and wife, Marian of Powhatan; a sister-in-law, Margaret W. Vassar and husband, George of Gladys; and a daughter-in-law, Lane Litchford of Concord.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alford E. Williams, and Steve Williams; and one sister, Juanita W. Foster.

A funeral service will be held 11 am, Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Earley's Chapel U.M.C. Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
