Mario Anthony Colacicco, 91, of Appomattox, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the husband of the late Barbara O'Donnell Colacicco.

Born in Philadelphia, Penn., on March 3, 1925, he was a son of the late Louise Fediles and Anthony Colacicco. He served in the US Army and the US Air Force in World War II and Korea. Mario retired as a produce manager from A & P Supermarket, was a member of Union #1776 Retail Clerks, and a Roman Catholic.

He is survived by a brother, Pasqual Colacicco and wife, Barbara of Delaware; a step-daughter, Patricia Anne Tracey of Appomattox; nine step-grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Fredrick Colacicco.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2016 at St Andrews Reformed Episcopal Church with Farther Davidson Morse officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2016 in Virginia Memorial Park with Military Rites accorded by the American Legion Post 16 Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be directed to 'Heart of the Nations'.
