Marilyn Kempka Goode went to be with the Lord, at the age of 96 on March 17, 2022, at her son's home in Spout Spring, Virginia.

She was born to Henry John Kempka and Emma Schumacher Kempka on October 31, 1925, in New York, New York. Her husband of 75 years, Eugene Thornton Goode, Sr., preceded her in death on May 11, 2019.

She is survived by her children, E. Thornton Goode, Jr. of Mexico, Henry Claude Goode (wife Beth) of St. Augustine, FL, Catherine G. Link of Mexico, and Robert P. Goode, Sr. of Spout Spring, Va. She was also cherished by six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
