Margie Kay Branstetter Deatley, 76, of Oakville Road, Appomattox, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Riverside Walter Reid Hospital of Gloucester. She was the wife of the late Albert Deatley.

Born in Louisville, KY, August 18, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Pearl Kay Smith and Leilon Walter Branstetter. Margie bred and raised German Shephards, Rottweilers, Jack Terriers at Atley's Kennel.

She is survived by three sons, Mark L Coker and wife, Debra of Roanoke, Kevin G. Coker of Salem and Troy Q. Coker and wife, Jackie of Appomattox; one brother, Larry W. Branstetter; one sister, Peggy J. Leftridge both of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren; a cousin Mike Smith; a dear friend, Mica Carter of Marion, NC.

She was preceded in death by a son, Barry G. Coker.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, October 9, 2017, at Robinson Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitch Luckie officiating. Burial to be held later at Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm till time of the service.
