Obituary

Margaret Garrett Grishaw, 82, of Cedar Tree Rd., Evergreen, died Monday, March 31, 2008 in Appomattox Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Melvin Jett Grishaw.
Born in Appomattox County, February 22, 1926, she was a daughter of the late William Calvin and Beatrice Eliza Inge Garrett. Margaret was an active member of Evergreen Baptist Church and a member of the Evergreen Ruritan Club.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and John (Pete) Harris of Evergreen, Martha and Shelby Huffman of Monticello, Arkansas, and Carolyn and Dennis Totty of Evergreen; six grandchildren, John C. and Susan H. Harris, Kevin D. and Kristie S. Harris, Andrew Jett (A.J.) and Amy Huffman, Jason G. Huffman, Patrick E. and Stephanie Totty , and Jared B. Totty; two great grandchildren, Andrew Thomas Huffman and James Calvin Harris; two sisters, Doris Fleshman of Evergreen and Louise Franklin and her husband, Dick of Appomattox and a brother, David I. Garrett and his wife, Hilda of Rustburg.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, April 4, 2008 at Evergreen Baptist Church by the Dr. Chris King with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at the home of Brenda and Pete Harris.
