Margaret Elizabeth Whorley, 72, of Appomattox, died Monday, April 15, 2024, at her residence. She was the loving wife of Roy Iriving Whorley.

Born in Prince Edward County, Virginia, on August 28, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Bertha Edwards Dow and David Clark Dow. She was a retired art teacher with Appomattox County Public Schools and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, David Clark Neathery and wife, Marie of Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

A memorial service will be held 2 pm, Friday, April 19, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Rickey Hackett. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
