Obituary

Margaret Franklin Megginson, 89, of Appomattox, died Monday night July 6, 2015 at Appomattox Health and Rehab. She was the widow of Wallace Ragland Megginson.
Margaret was born in Appomattox County on December 7, 1925 a daughter of the late Viola Kestner and Early Allen Franklin. She was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Amelia Dress Company.
Margaret is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Dillard Franklin of Appomattox; a granddaughter, Kimberly F. Coleman and husband, Joey of Appomattox; two great-grandchildren, Kendall Faith Coleman and Mac Coleman, two sisters-in-law, Virginia A. Franklin and Jean M. Nash both of Appomattox; a brother-in-law, Bo Phelps of Crewe and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother Allen Franklin.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am Friday July 10, 2015 at Robinson Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. Robert Phillips. Burial will follow in Spout Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-8:30pm Thursday July 9, 2015 and at other times at the home of Margie and Dillard Franklin.
