Margaret Ann McCormick, 88, of Lynchburg, died Thursday, January 11, 2024.

Born in Virginia, September 10, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Eva Williamson McCormick and Lewis Sanders McCormick, Jr.  Margaret was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.  She enjoyed preaching and witnessing the word of Christ to everyone.  Margaret retired from Heironimus as a top salesclerk.  She was always a go-getter and independent.

She is survived by three children, Roger Godsey and Naomi Hamlett of Concord, Richard Godsey and wife, Lisa of Appomattox, and Susan G. Dalton and husband, Whitie of Evington; four grandchildren; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances M. Tolley and Elizabeth Garrett; and five brothers, Leonard McCormick, Sr., Wallace McCormick, Ervin McCormick, Lewis "Pete" McCormick, and Edward McCormick.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 15, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Rusty Small officiating with burial following in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
