Margaret Marsh Hillsman
Appomattox: Margaret Marsh Hillsman, 96, of 4586 Oakville Road, died Saturday June 10, 2006 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Edmund James Hillsman.
Born in Appomattox County, June 2, 1910, she was the daughter of Edward J. and Wenona Hamilton Marsh. Mrs. Hillsman was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church, where she served in the WMU, and was active in the Young Hearts Club.
Mrs. Hillsman is survived by a son, Warren F. Hillsman, of Lynchburg; four daughters, Cecil Kay Harvey and her husband Dan, of Evergreen, Gail Mann and her husband Bradley, and Norma Moore and her husband Claude Allen, all of Appomattox, and Wanda Booth and her husband Allan, of Spout Spring; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Eva Phelps Marsh.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday June 12, 2006 in Red Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Barker and the Rev. John Muth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home today from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, and other times at her residence, 4586 Oakville road.
