Margaret Griffin Coleman passed away peacefully on December 27, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.
Born at home in Moundville, Alabama, she was the second oldest of eight children. She met the love of her life Robert I. Coleman, Jr. at the University of Alabama. They were married for 65 years and had three daughters, Robi, Rhea and Rena. They settled in Chamblee, GA in 1964.
She was a business owner, a licensed interior decorator and a savvy real estate investor.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband; brother, John Griffin; sisters, Jean Griffin and Peggy McAteer.
She is survived by her three daughters, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the McDonald and Son Funeral Home Chapel, Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, January 2, 2016 at Booker Family Cemetery, Buckingham, VA with Rev. Brad Childres officiating.
