Margaret Richardson Garrison, 85, of Tower Road, Pamplin died Sunday, May 6, 2018, in Lynchburg General Hospital . She was the wife of the late Wilson Scott Garrison for 46 years.

Born in Appomattox County, Va., on September 2, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Lucy Beale and Walter Richardson. She was a member of Piney Ridge United Methodist Church. Margaret was a retired seamstress for the Appomattox Garment Co. and Amelia Dress Company and worked for the Pamplin Exxon Deli.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wilson and Phyllis Garrison of Pamplin; two grandsons, Christopher Garrison of Pamplin and Jamie Garrison of Madison Heights; a sister, Sandra Burge; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Junior and Mildred Richardson, Randolph and Beth Richardson, and Kenneth and Gloria Richardson all of Pamplin.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Pritchard and Louise Wood and a brother, Dick Richardson.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Piney Ridge United Methodist Church by the Rev. Marsha Davis and Rev. Herndon Jeffreys. Burial will follow in Centenary United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at Piney Ridge UMC following the service and other times at the residence.
