Marcella Jordan Johnson, 84, of Appomattox, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at her residence. She was the wife of the late James Edward Johnson.

Born in North Carolina, on August 14, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Emily Rook and Ozzias Johnson. She was a member of Glory Baptist Church.

Marcella is survived by two children, Nancy Greene and husband, Milton "Buddy" of Spout Spring and Johnnie A. Jordan and wife, Christina of Pelham, N.C.; three grandchildren, Tricia Young, Johnny Bass, and Tina Bass; four great-grandchildren, Randal, Johnny Lee, Ciera, and Kelsie Bass; and one great-great-grandson, Amir Bass.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Jordan Hamilton and three brothers, James, Carl, and Cecil Johnson.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Glory Baptist Church by Pastor Chris Brooks. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 until 5 at her residence and on Sunday at the church one hour prior to the service.
