Obituary

Mamie Inge Williams, 99, of Pamplin, died Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at her home. She was the wife of the late Woodrow Wilson (Woody) Williams.
Born in Appomattox County, April 7, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Taylor R. and Ida Mae Gordon Inge. Mamie was a member of Elon Baptist Church and for a number of years worked for the Pamplin Post Office.
She is survived by two daughters, Martha Ferguson of Roanoke and Pam Harris of Pamplin; three grandchildren, Kellie Geesaman and husband Steve, Mary Ferguson, and Steven Ferguson; and four great grandchildren, Dylan, Grace, Emily, and Benjamin Geesaman.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, James T. Inge, Lloyd P. Inge, and J. Malcolm Inge and a sister, Wiley W. Inge.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Hospice of the Hills of Farmville nurses Dana Garrett and Rose Ingal, CNA Janice Marshall, Jana Howard, the hospice chaplain and special friend, Sue Hamlett for their care of Mamie.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 29, 2009, in Pamplin Cemetery by the Rev. Josh Tompkins and the Rev. Steve Tyree.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Friday from 6 – 8:00 p.m. and other times at the residence.
