Malcolm Wheeler Jordan, 90, of Turkey Creek Road, Phenix, died Monday January 6, 2014 at Heritage Hall, Brookneal. He was the husband of Dorothy Marshall Jordan for 62 years.
Malcolm was born in Charlotte County November 29, 1923 a son of the late Lucy Alice Gilliam and Wheeler Davis Jordan. He was a member, Deacon and Trustee at Midway Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Margaret Jordan Maddox of Lynchburg; Joanne Jordan of Madison Heights and Lorie Jordan of Lynchburg, a grandson, Justin Nash and Cyndal of Gladys; great-granddaughter, Henly; two sisters, Mary Lula Allen and Alice Campbell both of Prospect; step-grandchildren, Ray W. Maddox, Jr. and Jessica and Linda Maddox Burnett and Danny.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Hartless.
Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday January 9, 2014 at Midway Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Joey Anthony. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Wednesday January 8, 2014 from 4-6 P.M. and at other times at the residence.
