Emma Mae Roberson Glenn Elliott "Granny Mae"
Seay, 83, of Garlands Trail, Buckingham, died Friday, April 10, 2009 in Martha Jefferson Hospital.
Born in Mecklenburg, VA May 16, 1925, she was a daughter of the late William Thomas Roberson and Lessie Edna Hayes Roberson. She was longtime employee of Courtland Manufacturing and a manager of M & N Market in Toga for many years.
She is survived by four children, Janie Leigh Glenn Pritchard of Moblie, Ala., Dale G. Bryant and husband, Bob of Appomattox, James Cleveland Elliott and wife, Pat of Appomattox, Patricia Diane Seay Young and husband, Tom of NC; five sisters, Bettie Overby, Gracie Hardaway, Irene Lewallen, Thelma McCauley, Dora Overby all of Richmond; a special life long friend, Jeanette Carter; 10 grandchildren, Troy Stanley, Teresa Bass Doss, Tony Glenn Seay, Rebecca Bass Silby, Bobby Stanley, Emma Glenn Perryman, Laura Elliott Holmes, J. R. Elliott, Melissa Adcock Bradley, and Robbie Adcock; and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, George Glenn; a great grandson, Jamie Lee Holmes; two brothers, James and William Roberson; and two sisters, Helen Tyler and Virginia Garrett.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 11, 2009 in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Ronnie Rogers.
