Mabel Genelle Pistorio, age 78, of Pamplin, VA, passed away January 24, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Kalena Baldwin.

Mabel was a wonderful wife, mother and sister, who was always there to support her family. A friend to many, she touched the lives of all who knew her. Mabel's lifelong passion for animals was a cause she truly cherished.

She is survived by her children, Joseph (Ashley) Pistorio, Jr., of Nevada, and Tara (Justin) Vorsteg of Maryland; sisters Della Giles of Lynchburg and Charlotte (David) Page of Appomattox; sisters-in-law Rose Baldwin, Toni (Joe) Mingioni and Pat Pfaff, numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Pistorio, Sr., and brother Albert Dale Baldwin.

A celebration of Mabel's life will be held Sat., March 22, 2025, at Evergreen Baptist Church in Appomattox, VA at 11 a.m. with refreshments to follow.
