Lyle Thomas Lee, 93, of Spring Mill Road, Concord, died Saturday, March 5, 2016, in Virginia Baptist Hospital. He first married Reva Frances Carey and was then married to the late Bernice Ramsey Ford.

Born in Campbell County, on December 12, 1922, he was the son of the late Lola Mae Ford and Fitzhugh Lee. He was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and former treasurer. He was a US Army Sergeant 1st Calvary, serving in WW II in the South Pacific and a member of the American Legion Post #16 of Lynchburg. After 33 years of service with Babcock and Wilcock, Lyle retired as a Manager of Production. Lyle had a lifetime involvement with farming and after his retirement he enjoyed his time working on his beef cattle farm.

He is survived by four children, Carey Lee and wife, Gail of Concord, Dexter Lee of Bedford, Robin Pritt of Brookneal, and Sally Lee of Lynchburg; nine grandchildren, Rhonda Mason and Monte, Anna Campbell and Chad, Robert Chase and Hillary, Haley Lee, Casey Lee, Josh Pritt and Jill, Patrick Pritt, Kelly Sheppard and Nathan, and Katelyn Pritt; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Booth and Mae Hodnett.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Union Hill Baptist Church by Dr. Reginald Warren. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Monday, March 7, from 7-8:30 p.m.
