Lydia Clark Howard, 96, of Appomattox, died Wednesday, August 23, 2017, in Appomattox Health and Rehab. She was the wife of the late Vernon Danford Howard.
Born in Oconee County, S. C., on May 11, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Annie Jones and Anderson H. Clark.
She is survived by three children, Mary Ann Beale and husband, David of Simpsonville, S. C., Walter A. Howard and wife, Alice of Appomattox, and Linda H. Bolin and husband, Sam of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Mattie Roach; two brothers, Henry Clark and wife, Pat and Clarence Clark; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Frances Mankin; a son, Robert Danford Howard; four brothers; and five sisters.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, August 27, 2017, at Robinson Funeral Home by Dr. David Beale and Tommy Terry, with a family visitation following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the charity of your choice.
