Obituary
Lucille Godsey Johnson, 91, died Saturday night June 11, 2011 at the Carrington.
Lucille was born in Appomattox Co., a daughter of the late Nannie Odelle Mann and Alfonza F. Godsey. She was a retired employee of Central Virginia Training Center and a member of Amazing Grace Church of God, Lynchburg.
Lucille is survived by her children, Sharon J. Adcock of Rustburg, Ruth J. Litchford and Larry D. Johnson both of Lynchburg; Michael W. Johnson and his wife Lelia of Appomattox; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one brother, James Richard "Jack" Godsey of Lynchburg and a daughter-in-law, Velma W. Johnson of Spout Spring and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two sons Jonathan and Willard Johnson and four brothers, Marvin, Ray, Lyle and Fred Godsey.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 14, 2011 at 1::00 P M. in Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Bill Evans and the Rev. Joseph Wilkins.
Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 12 noon at the funeral home.
