Louise Carey Hall, 86, of Appomattox, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Judge Raymond Hall to whom she was married to for 60 loving years.
Born in Campbell County, November 25, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Dewitt and Julia Ferguson Carey. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and a graduate of Appomattox High School. Louise always kept a smile on her face and an open heart and door for everyone. She was considered a mama and granny not only to her family but many friends of the family.
She is survived by two daughters, Pat Miller and husband, Bill of Santa Fe, MO and Janet Hall of Spout Spring; three grandchildren, Ray Hall of Madison Heights, Julie Ensor of Paris, MO, and Craig Miller and wife, Jeane of Russellville, MO; seven great grandchildren, Drake and Matthew Hall, Bethany Mitchell and husband, Cole, Andrea and Samantha Ensor, Erica and Alyssa Miller; two great-great grandchildren, Shane and Coley Mitchell; an aunt, Virginia Mann: a special "adopted" daughter Millie Christian and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Oscar Raymond Hall and three brothers, Lewis, Richard, and Lonnie Carey.
Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Liberty Cemetery by the Rev. Daniel Dockery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Saturday, March 14, 2009 from 12:30 -1:30 pm and at other times at the home of Ray Hall, 382 Hill Top Drive, Madison Heights.
