Louise Thompson Archer Repass, 98, of Avery Lane, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at her residence. She was twice widowed; her first husband was the late Raymond Bentley Archer, Sr., and William "Bill" Repass, Jr.
Born in Tarboro, NC, April 29, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Janet Piland and Edward Thomas Thompson. Louise was a member of Appomattox Pentecostal Holiness Church. Louise lived many years in Portsmouth before moving to Appomattox.
She is survived by five children, Rev. Raymond B. Archer, Jr., and wife, Jerrie of Elizabeth City, N.C, John E. Archer and wife, Linda of Appomattox, Ronald Casey Archer and wife, Beverly of Midlothian, Earl Archer and wife, Faye of Rustburg and Deborah A. Fanney Phelps of Appomattox; 53 grandchildren and great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John Thompson, James Thompson and Luke Thompson; two sisters, Elsie Carroll and Lillian Frost; and a son-in-law, Jerry Thomas Phelps.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2017 at Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Danny Penny and Rev. Gene Riffey officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
