Lois Frances Sligh Reeves, 77, of Appomattox, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, October 17, 2017at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie S. Sligh and Mary Frances Sligh Layne and stepfather William S. Layne; brothers, Jess, Bobby and Esley: sisters, Wootsie and Bessie.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Teresa (Bascomb) Almond and Sharon Giles and fiancé, John Megginson both of Appomattox; and sisters, Barbara (Gary) Shaffer of Bakersfield, CA and Mary (Jim) Moore of Evington.

Lois leaves to cherish her memory, grandchildren, Amanda (Dean) Mullens, "Fred" Shawn (Amanda) Giles, Ben (Keshia) Almond, Jessie (Carlos) Moseley, and Daniel Almond, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great, great grandchild; nine nieces, four nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Elaine Tola officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Robinson Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
