Lois Mann Notestein, 83, of Morning Star Road, died Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Appomattox Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late John Andrew Notestein.
Born in Lynchburg, Va., on May 16, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Rosa Crews and Herman Hudson Mann. Lois was a loving wife and mother and an active member of Evergreen Baptist Church.
She is survived by five children, Cheryl N. Page and husband, William, John A. Notestein, II and wife, Joni, Richard Alan Notestein and wife, Beth, Michael Alvin Notestein and wife, Donna, and Timothy Dwight Notestein and wife, Jenny; two brothers, Tony Mann and wife, Gloria and Herman Ray Mann and wife, Edith; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Witt and Jean Cumbie.
A memorial service will be held 4 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2018, in Evergreen Baptist Church by Dr. Chris King.
The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Cheryl, at 2279 Morning Star Road.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Centra Hospice of Farmville, Centra Rehabilitation of Virginia Baptist, and Appomattox Health and Rehab Center for their care of Lois.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Pamplin Fire and EMS, PO Box 1099, Pamplin, VA 23958 or Central Hospice of Farmville, 1705 East Third Street, Farmville, VA 23901.
