Lloyd Elliott Nash, 73, of Promise Land Rd., Appomattox, died Thursday, August 8, 2013, in Lynchburg General Hospital. Born in Appomattox County, VA, on February 8, 1940, he was a son of the late Nellie Jennings and Henry Elliott Nash.

He is survived by a daughter, Tina Marie Howard of Greensboro, NC; two brothers, George D. Nash of Lynchburg and Cecil C. Nash and his wife, Amy of Appomattox; three sisters, Shirley Kerr, Della "Daye" Mann and her husband, Nelson all of Appomattox, and Linda Cyrus and her husband, Pete of Concord; seven nieces; seven nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Nash.

Lloyd was a member of Central Baptist Church, a retired painter, and a honorary member of County Line Hunt Club.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Saturday from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at the home of Cecil and Amy Nash.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 11, 2013, in Central Baptist Church by the Rev. George Kreidel. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
