Lisa Marie Taylor-Jones, 62, of Gladstone passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at University of Virginia Medical Center. She was the wife of Stanley Tyrone Jones.

Born on June 25, 1960, in Manhattan, NY she was the daughter of Norma Diaz Taylor of Lynchburg and the late Allan R. Taylor. She was a lifetime member of Buckingham Volunteer Rescue Squad. Lisa was a retired courier for FedEX and she was also an EMT with Paladin Medical Transport of Farmville.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by four children, Gabrielle Barr (James) of Dillwyn, Michael Jones (Kyrie) of Chesterfield, JR Jones (Lisa Smith) of Richmond, and Jerome Ferguson (Ashley) of Appomattox; two sisters, Denise Downs (Thomas) of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Camille Taylor (Howie) of Lahaina, Hawaii; 10 grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and close friends that she adopted over the years.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Taylor.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Toga Volunteer Fire Department, 1779 Mt. Rush Hwy, Dillwyn, VA 23936.
