January 21, 1946 – October 25, 2022
Linda Price Peters, 76, of Appomattox, went home to be with Jesus, Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Appomattox Health and Rehab where she was dearly loved by the staff and residents. She was the wife of the late Herbert Hoover "Bert" Peters, Jr.
Born in Pamplin, January 21, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Ruby Tweed Price and Joseph Willard Price. Linda was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. She served the Appomattox community over 30 years as a waitress for Daland Corp/Pizza Hut where she was deemed best waitress ever. Linda went above and beyond to take extra special care of her customers whom she dearly loved. She loved her family very much and her grandchildren were the apple of her eye.
She is survived by three children, Allison P. Garrett and husband, Timothy of Appomattox, Timothy Peters and wife, Michelle of Forest, and Douglas Fredrick "Ric" Peters and wife, Deanna of Lynchburg; one brother, Clyde L. Price; one sister, Joanne P. O'Brien; 10 grandchildren, Ashley Lucado and husband, AJ, Jonathan Garrett and wife, Jennifer, Dylan Garrett, Josh Peters and wife, Chelsea, Jordan Peters and wife, Rachel, Justin Henderson, Brooke Litchford and husband, Davey, Joseph Peters and Saunceia Peters; seven great-grandchildren, Camden Garrett Joy, Callie Lucado, Collyns Lucado, Sawyer Garrett, Paxton Garrett, Abigail Peters and Riley Peters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Michelle Renee Peters; father and mother-in-law, Herbert H. Peters, Sr., and Edythe W. Peters; and a brother-in-law, Ric Peters.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, October 28, 2022, at Evergreen Baptist Church with Pastor Todd Estes and Ken Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Pamplin Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Evergreen Baptist Church from 6 until 8 p.m., and other times at her daughter's residence.
