Linda Sarver Cheek, 76, of Lakeside Drive, Lynchburg died Friday, October 26, 2018, in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Virgil Keith Cheek.

Born in Lynchburg, Va., on May 14, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Alice Burks and Paul William Sarver. She was a graduate of Appomattox High School and Phillips Business College. Linda worked for Crawford Insurance for a number of years. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school, was finance secretary for her Sunday school class, and a member of the Administrative Board. Linda was an honorary member of the Concord Rescue Squad.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa C. Peelish and husband, Matthew of Virginia Beach; a grandson, Steve Peelish and wife, Krystal; two step-grandchildren, Joey and Kira; a sister, Jacqueline S. Lankford and husband, Wayne of Lynchburg; and numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece, Lynette Merryman and husband, Robbie and their son, Chase.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Dan Dibble. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the residence.
