Lena Hazelwood Conner, 83, of Mt Zion Rd, Phenix, died Friday afternoon, Feb. 5, 2010, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Charlie Allen Conner.
Born on July 20, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Lee and Betty Bessie Seamster Hazelwood. She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Gladys Johnson and five brothers and one sister.
She is survived by a daughter, Sterling Martin, and a son and daughter-in-law, H. Ray and Carolyn Conner, all of Red House; five grandchildren, Ray Conner, Jr., Jeff Conner, Christy Conner, Peggy Love and her husband Matt, and Mike Johnson; four great grandchildren, Haley, Megan, Devin and Breanna, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Clearview Baptist Church by Dr. Wayne Greene with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and other times at her residence.
