Lelia Irene Franklin Mays, 76, of New Chapel Road, Rustburg died Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Runk and Pratt of Forest. She was the wife of the late Glenn Arthur Mays.

Born in Concord, Va., on September 27, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Nancy Woodall and Edward Davis Franklin. She was a member of New Concord Presbyterian Church and retired from Parker Power Train.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Danny Burks and Marsha and D. W. Pritchett all of Rustburg; three grandchildren, Melanie Millner (Tommy), Cammie Hughes (Jeremy), and Dallas Burks; four great-grandchildren, Katlyn Millner, Wyatt Tweedy, Atticus Millner and Scarlet Hughes; two step-children, Christopher Mays and Crystal Mays; a sister, Shelby F. Hughes and husband, Billy of Rustburg; and one brother, Kenneth Franklin, Sr. and wife, Carolyn of Concord.

She was preceded in death by one brother Robert C. Franklin.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, February 16, 2018 , at New Concord Presbyterian Church by Rev. Janice Fraser. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her daughter Sandra Burks, Bethany Rd, Rustburg.
