Larry Ryan Shaffer, 38, of Chuckey, Tennessee, formerly of Appomattox passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at his residence.

Born in Manassas, VA, on February 19, 1984, he was the son of Harley R. Shaffer, Jr., and Sally Bartley Shaffer of Appomattox, VA.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two children, Waylon Shaffer, and Emily Shaffer both of Chuckey, TN; one sister, Karin S. Robertson and husband, Curt of Gladstone, VA; and a niece and nephew, Gavyn and Makenna Robertson.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Jim Schwerdtfegher and Pastor Jonathan Watson will be held at 11 am, Monday, August 8, 2022, at Glenn Memorial Baptist Church, 146 Harris Creek Road, Prospect, VA. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
